From NYC to London, I have been to some pretty awesome exhibitions in the past few weeks! On the 4th November, the beautiful Somerset House on the Strand opened its doors to launch the ‘Dazed & Confused Making It Up As We Go Along’ exhibition and this week, and I escaped a busy schedule to make sure I saw it!
The exhibition is comprised of three main rooms which document Dazed & Confused from the beginning right through to some of its most recent work. Filled with incredible photography and iconic covers, this exhibition captures everything that is controversial, sexy and British about Dazed. Founded by the legendary Rankin and Jefferson Hack in London in 1991, this exhibition plays homage to all the work achieved through their revolutionary editorial vision.
Iconic figures line the walls such as Kate Moss and Vivienne Westwood. It is truly inspiring to see such an impressive collection of fashion history all under one roof. There are also two additional rooms dedicated to Alexander McQueen and his contribution to Dazed.
Make sure you get down before the exhibition closes on 29th January 2012. And the icing on the cake….it’s FREE! Enjoy!
