Had the wonderful opportunity to style the hair of the absolutely gorgeous Bella Heathcote for The “Dark Shadows” Premiere in London. She is so naturally beautiful that Emma Lovell, (her make up artist,) and I decided to keep her looking as fresh and young as possible.
I created a very low sitting chignon; the perfect style to show off the sexy keyhole back detail of her tiered ruffled Emilio Pucci dress, nicely translating the gothic theme of the movie.
To recreate her look, curl the ends of your hair using a medium sized curling iron- giving the hair a little bend keeps the straight ends from popping out. Be sure to use a curling iron that allows you to adjust the temperature to the needs of your hair , all of the Braun tools allow you to do so (i.e low if your hair is finer or coloured.) Apply a small amount of a flexible hold hair spray, (I really like Wellaflex for Shiny Hold as it creates shimmer effects ,) giving it the all over hold that you need before brushing it back into the ponytail. Secure at the base using an anti snap elastic. Take the ponytail and twist it, wrapping it around the base and pinning with bobby pins as you go. A light mist with hair spray will ensure that it will last all night.
